The purpose of the article. The aim of this study is to identify the factors preventing the creation of psychologically safe space in departmental institutions of higher education. Methodology. The basis of this study is a theoretical analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization of available scientific literature on the subject. Results. The theoretical analysis allowed to identify the internal and external factors of psychological safety of educational space of departmental institutions of higher education. External factors are the influence of the objective environment. Among them: organizational and managerial factors (transparency, access to information) and resource (quality and relevance of curricula, the low level of professionalism of teachers, insufficient logistics, etc.). Internal factors are due to individual physiological, biological and psychological characteristics. Among biological and physiological factors to assess the students educational environment as psychologically dangerous dedicated underdeveloped physique, low mental stability, weak sensory-motor coordination, low stamina. Psychological peculiarities of cadets presents is inherent in some of them actinin Outlook, excessive nesmut, shyness, underestimation of own forces and possibilities, immature, strong-willed self-control, immaturity, lack adaptive capacity etc. Practical implications. The allocation of factors of psychological safety of the environment departmental institutions of higher education are necessary for development and improvement of methods and techniques to prevent and minimize the possible threats of a different nature. Based on the selected evaluation factors of educational environment as psychologically safe, it is possible to provide psychological support to cadets for the purpose of development of the psychological potential of the future professional. Value (originality). Systematic main groups of threats to the assessment of the students educational environment as psychologically safe, which affects the effectiveness of the implementation of the educational process and, consequently, their development as future officers.
