Requirements for the electronic version of the article
The manuscript of the article should be submitted to the Editorial Board of the journal on paper in two copies and also in electronic format (should be sent to the e-mail of a scientific journal). The electronic version of the article must be in full compliance with the paper one.
The following should be added to the manuscript:
Information about each of the authorsshould the following: surname, name, patronymic, position, place of work, academic rank, academic degree, contact information (telephone, e-mail address), ORCID code (obligatory), Scopus-Author ID (if available). Information about the authors should be submitted both in Ukrainian and English.
The article must consist of the elements that match the following parameters:
Metadata of the article in Ukrainian and in English (UDC, the name of the article, author’s full name, surname and patronymic, academic degree, academic rank, position, organization name, organization address, personal email, summary in two languages (in Ukrainian it must contain 1800-2000 symbols and in English it must contain 1800-2000 symbols) and key words (5-9 words)) – they are not checked for anti-plagiarism.
Summary in English must be written as the author’s abstract of the article. Author’s abstract must contain the name and surname of the author(-s), academic degree, academic rank, position, organization name, organization address, personal email, the title and a brief contents of a scientific paper.
The abstract must be written using the following scheme: first two or three sentences point out the aim and timeless of the topic; further the research methodology (methods) must be mentioned; then the attained results must be characterized; at the end practical utility of the article must be indicated. The author must not refer to any researches or other sources of information. Summary is submitted without any subdivisions. The text must be brief and original, without using the information from the text of a scientific article.
The size of an author’s abstract must be not less than 1800-2000 symbols. The example of making a summary.
If an article is submitted in English, then an extended abstract must be submitted in Ukrainian.
- Structure of the article:
– Target setting (must be submitted in general aspect and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks must be mentioned).
– Actual scientific researches and issues analysis (the researches must be mentioned and the issues must be pointed out where the aspects of this problem were considered and the author’s thought is based on;
allocation of previously unsettled parts of the general problem).
– Purpose setting.
– Statement of basic materials of the research with a complete reasoning of attained scientific results.
– Conclusions of the research and prospects of further scientific intelligence of this direction.
References (it is not checked for anti-plagiarism; must be submitted not by alphabet, but according to the order of appearing (being cited) in the text. It must be made in the following way:
– for scientific articles written in Ukrainian (Russian, Polish and German) references must be submitted in two variants: in original languages, in which the sources the author refers to are written (Bibliographic list of papers is submitted according to DSTU 8302:2015 (example of making references). Citations are made directly in the text. An ordinal number of the used source is indicated in square brackets and a specific page is indicated comma separated (for example: [5, P. 74]; [15, P.18])) and the variant of References, made in English according to Harvard style (example of making);
– for scientific articles references must be submitted in English, made according to Harvard style (example of making).
- Technical requirements:
– size of an article must be 10 – 20 pages;
– format is A4 (297 x 210);
– margins everywhere are 20 mm;
– type is Times New Roman 14 pt.in 1.5 space,indent from the paragraph is 1,25 cm for the whole text of the article, references, summary, keywords, etc.;
– pages are not numbered;
– enumeration of the references is automatic;
– a scientific article must be submitted to the editorial board of the scientific journal in the text editor Microsoft Word 2003 in doc format.
– the figures (tables) for scientific articles must be submitted with the reference to the corresponding source, or with the indication that the figure (table) is the author’s development. The figures must be made using the corresponding graphic images and must be shaped vertically or horizontally on one page.
- List of obligatory materials that must be sent to the e-mail address of the editorial board:
– electronic version of the article (this file must be entitled according to the author’s surname and initials, for example: KorolenkoV.P._article);
– information about the author (authors) as in the example. (The example of information about the author(s)) is a separate file (this file must be entitled according to the author’s surname and initials, for example: KorolenkoV.P._information);
– if the author has no scientific degree he/she must provide a scanned review from a Doctor of Sciences or a Ph.D. on a submitted article. The reviewer’s signature must be confirmed by an authorized person and sealed with the seal of an institution (body, organization, etc.) according to the reviewer’s main place of work.
We draw authors’ attention to the following requirements of the editorial board:The articles must meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to professional issues and the requirements of scientific journal “Scientific Herald of Sivershchyna. Series: Education. Social and Behavioural Sciences”.A scientific article must contain not less than 75% of original text. All the articles are checked on plagiarism. English text must be checked and signed up by a philologist.If necessary, the editorial board of the scientific journal helps the author to do English translation of summaries and references for the article.Every scientific article must pass a review and match the profile of the scientific journal.
The articles that do not meet mentioned requirements will not be reviewed and published in the scientific journal.
The editorial board has the right to maintain scientific and literal editing of the materials.The editorial board preserves the right to
reject the article that does not meet the requirements or the subject of the scientific journal.Within five working days after receiving a scientific article, the editorial board sends a letter to the author by e-mail about accepting or necessity to improve the scientific article. The term of final changing and second sending of scientific article to the editorial board of the scientific journal will be mentioned in the letter.If necessary, the editorial board can send a certificate of approved form about accepting the article for publishing in the scientific journal, signed by the editor-in-chief (deputy editor-in-chief) and affixed with the seal.The editorial board of the journal posts the articles only on the official website of the scientific journal “Scientific Herald of Sivershchyna. Series: Education. Social and Behavioural Sciences”.
The amount of the publication fee of the article is 800 UAH (up to 12 pages). If the volume of the article exceeds 12 pages, the cost of each additional page is 60 UAH. Authors will receive payment details of the publication fee after the mandatory internal blind review of scientific articles and the verification for plagiarism.
