PREVENTION OF EMOTIONAL BURNOUT BY ABILITY OF SELF-REGULATION DEVELOPMENT OF OWN EMOTIONAL STATE

Summary:

The article deals with the features of the emotional burnout syndrome and the negative influence on the personality of a professional. It is shown that the peculiar negative emotional states in the occurrence of the emotional burnout syndrome are dissatisfaction, tension, emotional weakness, uncertainty, confusion, irritation, inherent impulsivity in solving difficult life situations. The place and significance of the individual emotional aspect in stable tendencies, specific forms and methods of interactions are analyzed. It is noted that in the course of interaction the emotional people influences generate their interderpendence. Negative emotions of clients` are not only transmitted but also multiplied by a specialist, causing strong emotional reactions. Questions are raised about the need for preventive measures to overcome the workers’ emotional burnout. Introducing of training sessions among specialists who work in the «person to person» system is proposed, in order to develop their awareness skills and self-regulation of emotional states.

The article presents the author’s developed training session in ability to determine their own emotional states, causes and consequences of its appearing; methods of regulation of various emotional states and skills to develop an ability of an adequate evaluating their capabilities, self-esteem and self-confidence; promoting self-reflection of theirself «me» and developing a group of skills aimed at preventingthe emergence and development of a syndrome of emotional burnout.
